Now in its 48th year, this production is one of Seattle's must-see holiday shows, freeing the story up from much of the razzle-dazzle that accompanies other stagings to really present the characters and themes with a fresh perspective.
What is the story?
As we all know, A Christmas Carol is the story of Ebeneezer Scrooge, a miserly businessman in Victorian London who doesn't believe in celebrating Christmas, and all the goodwill that it brings. On Christmas Eve he is visited by three ghosts, who take him on a magical journey to show him the error of his ways.
