BURT BACHARACH'S STAR STILL SHINES BRIGHTLY
Last night at the Saban theater I saw an icon, a living legend, a master craftsman performing some of the most memorable music of the late 20th century...and cried tears of joy. I realized, I was watching THE man who wrote THE music, performing HIS arrangements when, as the music started, it was exactly as if I'd dropped the needle on one of my nearly 60 year old vinyl records of his tunes. Absolutely a stunning evening filled with memories and joy, and hearing music as it is meant to be heard--played live and played well.
