A joyful evening of celtic song and dance!
Get your fiddle fix when fiddle-toting super group Childsplay returns to Seattle for the first time since 1992! Featuring players from the US, Scotland and Ireland, the ever-evolving collective has included some of the leading virtuosos in both traditional and contemporary fiddle music on their roster, performing the extraordinary and joyful traditional music of their heritage on violins all made by the same violinmaker Bob Childs.
Fronted by celebrated Irish folk singer Karan Casey, who was once part of Americana Irish fusion band Solas, the 14-strong fiddling outfit are ready to share in a ceilidh-like atmosphere where music and dance share the stage. The award-winning ensemble will be joined by Irish step dancer extraordinaire Kevin Doyle and Pilobus Dance Theater performer Molly Gawler for this special one night only event, celebrating over 30 years of lightning fast fiddle work that keeps the music of the celtic world alive!
