A performance full of wonder
Copland's hopeful peon to early American settlers forms the highlight of this excellent program under the watchful eye of conductor Xian Zhang. Evoking the challenges and adventures of the land's first immigrants, Copland's enduring Pulitzer Prize-winning epic is a monumental work to witness.
Feauturing the esteemed violin talent of Ray Chen, Seattle Symphony Orchestra also present Korngold's magnificent Violin Concerto and Dorothy Chang's Northern Star, written as the fourth movement to Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra's True North: Symphonic Ballet.
