2015 was a big year for Vance Joy. The Australian singer-songwriter had a song featured in the John Green movie adaptation Paper Towns, and was hand-picked by Taylor Swift herself to support him on the North American dates of her blockbuster 1989 tour. It's not hard to see why Joy has rocketed to success. His folk-inflected indie pop is reminiscent of Mumford and Sons at their most anthemic, building from bubbling, lovelorn verses to big stadium-ready choruses.
His upcoming tour is in support of his upcoming album, Nation of Two and features alternative hit singles 'Lay It On Me', 'Like Gold', and 'We're Going Home'. With lyrics that will reach out and hold onto you, his music has married folk and pop capturing the pulse of everyday life in a very unique way.
Performance date: 1 July 2018
