Applejackson from Minneapolis, Minnesota
Ween showed in short order why they're still one of best live acts on the planet. They were absolutely at the top of their game; relaxed and clearly having a great time playing together. They opened things up with a rowdy version of the HIV Song, and then took the show into a loose feel with the Golden Eel. They played their live staples (voodoo lady, roses are free, spinal) and played a breathtakingly heartfelt Birthday Boy and the Argus before hitting stride with a blistering Take Me Away and several others before going out the way they came in: with a rowdy version of the HIV Song. All 5 members were at the peak of their considerable talents. This show was simply as good as ANY live act on the planet. They're just THAT good. If you missed this show, you missed a great one.
