I was dumbfounded at last night’s performance of “Giselle” that Pacific Northwest Ballet could present such a lackluster staging of the classic ballet. I’m sorry to say that in the first act Angela Sterling, who is usually a lovely dancer, was not up to the role. Everything seemed emotionless and flat, The second act faired somewhat better with the corps de ballet looking fairly strong. I unfortunately cannot recommend this production unless the company wakes up and gives it some life.
