Why See More Music at the Moore?
Matt Chamberlain Leads This Year's Concert
Seattle's STG theatre group presents their 18th annual 'More Music @ The Moore', a one-night-only event that celebrates the city's budding young musical talent. With past music directors of the popular community event including jazz pianist Robert Glasper, singer songwriter Meshell Ndegeocello and Sheila E, STG welcomes session legend and drummer extraordinaire Matt Chamberlain to host, mentor and MD this year's inspirational show.
Chamberlain came to national attention as part of Edie Brickell & New Bohemians, Pearl Jam and the SNL house band. After moving to Seattle and starting the band Critters Buggin in 1992, he won a Grammy for his recorded work on The Wallflowers' album Bringing Down the Horse, going on to work with Fiona Apple and Tori Amos. The gifted rhythm man will join this year's young performers for two special shows featuring an array of genres from bluegrass and country to funk, hip hop, soul and musical theatre.
Performance date: 22 March 2019
