POOR PERFORMANCE IN YAKIMA

I saw SRO at our Seasons Performance Hall in Yakima last night and have to say it may have been the worst concert I’ve ever heard. The musicians were very out of tune and out of time with each other. This was their Beatles Abby Road salute and as a lifelong Beatles fan I was offended by lack of preparation. The conductors antics distracted from the music and she congratulated herself way too much. The female singers did put out good efforts but the one male singer slaughtered the lyrics often and giggle as if the joke was on the audience. I have rarely taken time to post a bad review but this just had to be said. There were a few moments, Let It Be and part of the Abby Road medley that was very good. Clearly they had put in practice on those pieces but some songs were unrecognizable. I only hope this group will take this as constructive criticism and please return to Yakima with a better performance.

OUCH

My wife and I saw this show 5/13 at the Moore theater. I have to agree with a previous reviewer this was unbearably bad. They were very out of tune, and most of the arrangements seemed muddled, and lacking the spirit of the original song. I'll say that Let it Be was good, I Want You was good, with a nice lead/solo by the cellist, and The Long and Winding Road was really good. The singer did great on that one, but why couldn't she and the and the others have sang that way the whole concert? Some songs I didn't even recognize until I heard a familiar lyric. The front men- singers, bass player/leader, and conductor all seemed too pleased with themselves, as if they were trying to convince us they were great performers, rather than exhibiting it. Then they announced that we're creating a Pink Floyd Dark Side of The Moon show. God forbid they disrespect another masterpiece. I'm really sorry for the negativity, it just seemed like a lazy self indulgent effort.
