Why See Aimee Mann?
Mental Illness Tour
Like many a droll, understated songwriter before her, Aimee Mann's music has sometimes been labelled as depressing. In true Aimee Mann fashion, she's combated this falsehood by recording an album of acoustic waltzes called Mental Illness. Opening with the lead single 'Goose Snow Cone', it's a collection of slow acoustic numbers filled with her usual wit and beautiful lyricism.
Coming to prominence in the mid-90s, following a stint with the band 'Til Tuesday, Aimee Mann carved out a place for a herself in the American indie rock scene with one great album after another, including the soundtrack to Paul Thomas Anderson's movie Magnolia. Catch her playing new cuts alongside fan favorites such as 'Save Me' and 'Charmer' when she plays Neptune Theater in Seattle, WA, Closed May 9, 2017.
