Living Legend E-40 Tours New Album Gift Of The Gab
Prolific Bay Area hip hop icon Earl Stevens AKA E-40 first came to prominence in the late 80s as a founding member of hip hop outfit The Click, courting national exposure with a distinctive style that fused inventive slang and theatrical rhymes. For the past three decades, the forerunner of West Coast gangsta rap has maintained a dizzying creative output, with 2018 shaping to be his busiest year to date. Just one month after the release of collaborative compilation 'Connected & Respected' E-40 released his 25th solo studio album 'Gift Of The Gab' and is now headed out on a mammoth fall tour with Nef The Pharaoh and OMB Peezy.
Counting the likes of Snoop Dog, Tupac, Ice and Dre amongst his contemporaries, E-40's tireless contributions to hip hop are considerable, wether releasing new artists on his own label or collaborating with the greats, earning him the nickname 'Charlie The Hustler'. Every time the living legend steps out onto the stage, he's given a hero's welcome, which is to be expected since he's not only taught an entire generation how to ghost ride a whip, but provided a rich, evolving soundtrack to their lives.
