So disappointed at how bad this show was. I love live music of all types and my wife and I were so excited for this. It was so awful that we left after…we’ll I can’t tell after how many songs because I couldn’t tell one song from the other because you couldn’t understand her and the music and bass was way too loud and the only thing you could hear. I don’t even care that she showed up so late. She billed this as a celebration of the amazing album and it sounded nothing like that.

STAY HOME AND LISTEN TO THE ALBUM
Just got back from the Newark concert. She was late (expected). We got there at 7:00pm and we waited for a rehearsal to get over (supposed to start at 7:30). The DJ started playing at 9pm and Ms Hill didn't come out until 9:45pm. The sound quality was atrocious. Couldn't understand 96% of what she said. My cousins and I (all who know the album back to front) couldn't not tell what song was being sung most of the time. The arrangements were unrecognizable. She sang two octaves lower than I've heard before. We left about one hour into the concert high as kites from the weed in the stands. A worker at the arena said to try to get out money back and I intend to try.

WORST SHOW EVER!
Same situation at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Terrible sound. Couldn’t understand a word- not lyrics nor speak. She came on late. Babbled on. Kicked the Fugees off the stage twice (I’m sure they were trying to save her from herself.) I left before they came on. What a disappointment!!!

WOULD GIVE 0 IF IT WERE AN OPTION.
Thought I paid to see a professional act. I’ve seen better performances at amateur night.
Tardiness aside (because apparently that’s just her), the sound mix was awful, her voice hasn’t recovered from recent illness and songs were remixed to make them unrecognizable.
Great albums Lauryn, but if you don’t want to perform don’t.
Shame on me for financially supporting this utter disrespect for fans and live music in general.

BAD TIMING
Lauryn Hill needs to refund at last 1/2 ticket money back to her fans. W spent well over 5k , hot high off the contract, I got violently ill and almost cracked my car falling asleep for a1hr ride home…only to have to pulling over took a nap on the side of the road before racing home sick to my stomach! I am still recovering and took a trip to the ER from food poisoning while there. After a long drawn out argue with my boyfriend about my arrival time home, because he simply did not believe the concert took that long, it’s safe to say I will never attend another concert as her lateness was abusing to the time of her fans. Lauryn it’s not ok to this. Meditation or no meditation , people are making the effort to come out to see you. The least you could do is be on time or at least have opening acts kick off the show at the designated start time. Not have us sit in waiting area of the concourse without horrible food and once inside sit in silence for a few hours. I won’t ever attend another Lauryn Hill concert again

LAUREN HILL DISAPPOINTED
Not one to write reviews but this was very disappointing and we drove four hours to go see the show waited over 2 1/2 hours for her and it was terrible. We could’ve went out and had a nice dinner and listen to some jazz. Instead we had crappy food and a DJ that played 2 1/2 hours too long, this show was the worst concert that I ever went to. It was really sad to see if she couldn’t sing.

THE "MISSED OPPORTUNITY" OF LAURYN HILL
My friend & I went to the Lauryn Hill + The Fugees show on 11/2 at Ball Arena. I was gifted the tix by my boss who couldn't go. We were excited to hear Lauryn & The Fugees live. Doors were at 7:30pm but Lauryn didn't go on stage until after 9:30pm. Ridiculous. The second she started, the sound was terrible. It was painfully loud, the mix was really bad, (bass & drums overpowering everything), & there were 30+ people on stage leading to a busy & jumbled sound. We knew Lauryn had been dealing w/ voice issues but she was hard to hear w/ all of the sounds happening. We could barely recognize the songs b/c they were performed like hyped-up remixes. Speaking of "hype," she had a hype man on stage who was much louder than her & yelling "1, 2, 1, 2!!!" repeatedly. It was annoying.
We had been excited to see The Fugees but that set didn't even start until 10:45pm (the show was slated to end at 10:30pm). We listened to 3 songs and left at 11pm. I'm so glad I didn't pay money for this concert.
