Why see Murder For Two?
A musical murder mystery to die for
A tongue-in-cheek homage to the murder mystery as espoused by the works of Agatha Christie combined with a snappy old-school Broadway score, with a dash of famed comedy The 39 Steps. Co-produced with Seattle's ACT, this ribald two-hander features a clever use of sound effects, lighting, audience participation, pantomime and stage props to mimic a large scale production, but without losing intimacy and subversiveness.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
First staged off-Broadway in 2013 to critical acclaim, Murder For Two stars only two actors throughout the whole. A jaded police officer Marcus Moscowicz hopes to gain his detective stripes by solving the murder of a famous crime novelist at a star-studded birthday party at his mansion. However, he must contend with no less than 13 suspects - all played by one actor! Doctors, ballerinas...no suspect is off-limits, and both you, the audience and Moscowicz must guess WHODUNNIT, despite the outlandish claims and alibis, set to a series of comical songs! This is one musical mystery masterpiece that's never been seen before....
