The Untuxed series shies away from ceremony to promote affordable, no-frills access to classical music
Shying away from the pomp and ceremony that can surround a typical classical concert and shining a light firmly on the music, the Seattle Symphony Orchestra's Untuxed Concert series features shorter performances at a more affordable cost. This no-frills evening is the perfect chance to get to know the orchestra as they don comfy clothes and offer a relaxed atmosphere, playing a range of the great composers.
This special Untuxed performance features the spirited mischief and fiery flamenco of Manuel de Falla's The Three Cornered Hat, led by SSO Associate Conductor Pablo Rus Broseta and featuring the dulcet tones of renowned Spanish soprano Raquel Lojendio. A "choreographic poem' originally written for a ballet, the renowned latin composer's work is filled with pungent earthiness and rhythmic energy.
