An Explosive Concert!

Step into the grandeur of Baroque as the Seattle Symphony perform's Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks, under the baton of conductor Ivan Taurins! Commissioned in 1749 by King George II to celebrate the Treaty of Aix-la-Chapelle, this jubilant suite was originally scored for a massive wind band and accompanied by a fireworks display in London's Green Park. Experience a piece as vibrant in the concert hall as it must have been under the night sky nearly three centuries ago!

As well as that sparkling work is Handel's organ concerto, performed by organist Joseph Adam, as well as Telemann's Wassermusik, paints lively scenes from the sea, and Hasse's dramatic Sinfonia in G Minor. An explosive concert with Seattle Symphony!
