Boundary-breaking pianist Kirill Gerstein plays Rachmaninov's Third
Considered as one of the most technically challenging piano concertos in the classical repertoire, Rachmaninov's Third Piano Concerto tests the mettle and technical skill of many a pianist. Leading piano virtuoso Kirill Gerstein will step up to the plate, preforming the whirlwind piece alongside the Seattle Symphony, helmed by guest conductor Johannes Debus.
At the tender age of 14, Gerstein was the youngest ever student submitted to the Berklee College of Music. He rapidly graduated from his jazz studies to become one of the most exciting new performers of his generation. His fearless, energetic and boundary-breaking style of playing is informed by an insatiable curiosity that has led him to all corners of the realms of classical and jazz music. Don't miss this future legend as he cements his status as one of the best pianists in the world!
