THE ULTIMATE BATTLE TAKES PLACE IN SEATTLE

Defence of the Ancients 2, or DOTA 2 to those in the know, is one of the most popular free-to-play MOBAs (multiplayer online battle arena) of all time. Abbreviations aside, this landmark game has spawned a devoted fanbase and following, so it stands to reason that a tournament testing the mettle of its greatest players should spring forth from its battlegrounds.

This year 16 professional DOTA teams will be returning to Seattle's KeyArena to compete for a prize pool worth over $10 000 000 and the Aegis Of Champions, a trophy only worthy of a chosen few. The event isn't just about competing for glory however, special in-game items will be dropped at random amongst the crowd during the competition.
