The words Operation: Mindcrime may not mean too much to non-Metalheads, but for fans of the genre, these two words are held in great reverence. Released in 1988 by the band Queensryche, Operation: Mindcrime was an inventive, layered concept album that explores themes of addiction and redemption. Its story follows Nicci, who is sucked into a murderous secret organization, which uses brainwashing and heroin to keep its members pacified. Among it best known tracks are 'Revolution Calling', and 'I Don't Believe in Love',
To celebrate the record's 30th anniversary, Queensryche's lead singer Geoff Tate is heading out across the country with his band. They'll be playing Operation: Mindcrime in full, followed by a mini greatest hits set.
